With a requirement for robust, powerful machinery for large excavation work, the ZX530-7 delivered to Carrière Marguet quarry near Pontarlier, Doubs has been built with durability and maximum efficiency in mind. The ZX530-7 has greater traction and steering forces than smaller excavators, particularly useful in low-traction, inclined environments like quarries, and is also available with Hitachi’s wide range of buckets, breakers and ground engaging tools (GET) for increased versatility and productivity.

With its new machine in the 55-tonne category, Carrière Marguet quarry can make full use of the ZX530-7’s industry-leading hydraulic system, HIOS V, for even the largest excavations. In addition to increasing their operating capacity thanks to the power and efficiency of the Zaxis-7 machine, the HIOS V system also saves Carrière Marguet up to 11% in fuel consumption to keep operating costs down.

An operator at Carrière Marguet was impressed with both the comfort and the performance of the new Hitachi machine, saying that “the cabin is a little bit wider and more comfortable compared to my other Hitachi machine, a ZX520 from 2007.
