Reliable, durable and easy to maintain – our ZX240LC-5G medium excavator is designed to work well in tough conditions and extreme temperatures.

It is fitted with a reliable engine, proven on demanding job sites. It is also equipped with a durable front attachment, including a reinforced boom, and a strengthened undercarriage and reinforced upper structure for added durability.

Simplified maintenance features, such as easily accessible fuel filters that can be inspected at ground level and the dustproof net protecting the radiator, are designed to save you time and money.

High levels of productivity and comfort

Thanks to our unique HIOS III hydraulic system, the ZX240LC-5G medium excavator loads trucks quickly and efficiently. This system is responsible for an increased operating speed with 8% less fuel consumption than the previous Hitachi model.

You can expect a high arm speed while the boom is lowering, as well as powerful lifting and smooth swing operations. An auto power lift mode boosts the lifting force by 10% when required.

The air-conditioned cab has been designed to provide a safe and comfortable working environment. It offers ample legroom, easy access and an easy-to-use multifunctional monitor. The control panel and levers are all comfortably within reach of the adjustable seat.
