TBS Transportbeton Schüssler GmbH & Co. KG (Schüssler) has invested in Hitachi rock buckets for its quarry in Kerpen-Manheim. It is also using four Hitachi wheel loaders to help it supply 600 types of ready-mixed concrete, sand and grain.
Schüssler’s ZW310-6s and ZW370-6s have been equipped with Hitachi rock buckets, which are designed for heavy-duty work. They are also optimised for good penetration and breakout performance.
On site, the ZW370-6 wheel loaders are excavating material and transferring it to a conveyor. Around 200m3 of filtered material is loaded onto trucks by each ZW310-6 per eight-hour shift.
“[Kiesel] recommended them [the Hitachi buckets] based on our requirements, and we trust in their opinion. They provide an excellent service, provide us with everything we need, and the Hitachi wheel loaders have proven to be very reliable.”Jochen Wonka, Executive Director, Schüssler.
MMRHP Metzner Recycling GmbH (Metzner Recycling) has combined a Hitachi wheel loader with Hitachi ground engaging tools (GET) to maximum effect. The ZW150-6 with general purpose bucket was delivered in May 2019 and quickly put to use on a demolition project in Erlangen.
Thanks to its size, ease of operation, and the round floor bucket, the ZW150-6 has proved suitable for various activities at the 38,000m2 site. These include transporting and loading materials into a crusher, loading lorries and distributing materials.
Owner Michael Metzner discussed the advantages of the ZW150-6 and the floor type of bucket with authorised local dealer Kiesel. After seeing the machine in action at Kiesel’s Coreum facility, he knew that it was the perfect solution for the job site.
