ZX350LCH-3Gs are a hit in African quarry

Two Hitachi ZX350LCH-3Gs acquired by West African company Logistics Support Services (LSS) are proving invaluable assets at the Arigu Rock quarry, near Tamale in northern Ghana. The medium Zaxis-3 excavators are extracting granite materials from the 45-acre site for use in road construction and concrete works, among others.

New OEM agreement

Hitachi has entered into an OEM agreement with Mecalac Baumaschinen. The agreement covers the manufacture of compact articulated wheel loaders complying with EU emissions Stage IIIB by Mecalac at its factory in Büdelsdorf, Germany. Three new high-performance models are included within the agreement: the ZW65-6, ZW75-6 and ZW95-6.

Dobloug invests in compactor

Dobloug has purchased the first piece of Hitachi light compaction equipment in Norway from the country’s authorised dealer, Nasta. The Hamar-based contractor has added the ZV350PR-De reversible vibratory plate to its fleet of Hitachi machinery for its largely public sector road and general construction projects.

Exclusive dealer appointed

New dealer announced

Hitachi has appointed a new dealer for customers in Slovakia. EURO stroj Slovakia offers the complete range of Hitachi construction equipment. This includes mini, medium and large Zaxis excavators, rigid dump trucks and ZW wheel loaders, along with special application machines, light compaction equipment and Hitachi Sumitomo crawler cranes. The company has 11 employees working in two branches, a 150m2 workshop, and three centres for servicing and repairs.

ZW140-5 works 24/7

Hungarian paving block manufacturer Barabás needed a reliable wheel loader that could work 24 hours a day when it opted to purchase its first Hitachi machine, a ZW140-5, at the end of 2014. Operator Kovács Károly says that it’s twice as productive as the previous machine, which is ideal for a company aiming to increase its production capacity by over a third in 2016.

Greek dealer appointed

Hitachi has appointed Ergotrak SA to be the exclusive distributor of its full range of construction equipment in Greece. Having supplied Hitachi mining excavators and rigid dump trucks since 2004, Ergotrak has now expanded its range to include Zaxis excavators (mini, medium, large and wheeled), ZW wheel loaders and Hitachi Sumitomo crawler cranes.

Making a difference

Belgian company Aertssen relies on the quality and performance of Hitachi construction machinery for its excavation, infrastructure and engineering projects. Its subsidiary, Gulf Earth Moving, has been active in Qatar for many years and one of its major projects is the Hamad Port. Yves Aertssen, Contracting Division Director, says, “We need the best equipment to make a difference – that’s why we call upon Hitachi.”
