Rein Pijnenburg is HCME’s General Manager of the Amsterdam factory and reports to Kazutoshi Yoshioka (Director of Production & Procurement).
Rein oversees the production of excavators and wheel loaders, and is a firm believer that success results from team effort. He also ensures the Japanese manufacturing principles of Monozukuri (create with passion) and Kaizen (continuous improvement) are ever present. Rein joined HCME in 1990 at the mini excavator factory in Oosterhout as a Product Support engineer. In this role, he was responsible for providing technical support and arranging warranties.
Prior to joining HCME, Rein started his career as an NDT (non destructive testing) specialist and inspector. This was at BIP, an English company servicing customers in the petrochemical, construction and offshore industries. While there, Rein was responsible for conducting X-ray, ultrasonic and other NDT inspections.
He later joined Ambac, a company that manufactures mechanical parts for agriculture machinery in the USA. As a quality analyst, Rein made capability studies of the equipment and processes, and developed statistical process control charts.
Rein earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Avans University of Applied Sciences in Breda (formerly HTS-Breda).
